Touching on Casino Etiquette
Code of Casino Etiquette is applicable to all casino games and it concerns all players. Etiquettes are manners that players must practice while inside the casino.
First let us begin with the game of Slots and Video Poker:
> Play with one machine only especially when the casino is too crowded.
> If you are taking a long break put a cup on the handle of the machine to indicate that you will be back at the machine. Do not just leave the machine unattended, someone will take your place.
Next is the game of Blackjack:
> Know the hand signals of blackjack especially the hit or stand signals.
> After you have placed your bet do not touch it again, it's a no-no.
> Never ask the dealer about his or her hole card.
> If you lose a lot of the time do not accuse the dealer of cheating or of being biased and especially do not bad mouth anyone.
The game of Roulette:
> If you are not going to play roulette vacate your seat at the roulette table. It is exclusive for roulette players only. You may watch them from behind.
> Roulette uses different kinds of chips; players are not allowed to exchange chips with their friends and family. One chip color per player only.
For the game of Craps:
> Dealers are not allowed to take cash from players so never hand over your cash to the dealer, exchange your cash for chips. Or you may place your money on the table and tell the dealer for "change only".
> You can do field bets, pass/don't pass bets, come bets and odds by your self.
> Always keep you hands away from the table and never block the dice.
> Remember to give the dice a nice throw around the table if you are the shooter. Do not try to slide the dice from the layout because you cannot control the dice.
And lastly for Tipping:
> Tipping is not mandatory; you can give tips to dealers out of generosity. Everything you give will be appreciated. However, if you give tips never expect that the house rules will bend because of your tips.
In general, either if you win or lose always remain calm. Do not make a scene inside the casino. Keep a clear head and keep your composure intact.
Casino Etiquette is for everybody and for every game. No one will play with you if you are not displaying good manners.
